Côteaux du Languedoc

The Côteaux du Languedoc region extends from the Mediterranean coast of Narbonne in the west,  to the Camargue in the east and as far as the foothills of the Montagne Noir and the Cévennes. The diversity of the terroirs and the uniqueness of the Côteaux du Languedoc wines is reflected by grading on the following levels:

- within the Côteaux du Languedoc             appellation
- by climatic zone
- by terroir

The wines enjoy a typically Mediterranen climate across the whole area of production, with a warm, dry season, although variable according to altitude. The basic grape varieties for the reds and rosés are Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre ( a minimum of 50%) blended with Cinsault and Carignan.
