Domaine de Pech-Menel
Owned by Marie-Francoise and Elisabeth Poux, the domaine is set a short distance from the village of Quarante in the region of St-Chinian. Build around 1720 part of the domaine house the Quarante monks flock of sheep and most likely the cellar since evidence was found of viticulture at the time. The property extends over 55 ha of which 20 ha are under vine. In the heart of the garrigues at varying altitude the property's vegetation is typical to this Langedocian region, comprising of woodlands and scrub such as thyme, gorse, lavender and rosemary to name but a few.

Vines are planted on slopes essentially facing the South and the very stony soil is cultivated mechanically with no use of herbicides. Different quality wines are made at the domaine which both express the makers originality of the terroir and their personal expressions of the wine.
